About the position

The Marketing Coordinator role at Nordic Valley presents an exciting opportunity to merge your passion for skiing or snowboarding with your marketing expertise. This position involves engaging with the ski community, capturing photos and videos for social media, writing concise copy for digital advertisements, updating the WordPress website, and sending newsletters. The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in upholding the brand's standards and ensuring effective communication across various platforms. In this role, you will be an advocate for the company's purpose, "Give People the Freedom to Ski," and embody the company's culture and values. You will spearhead campaigns and communications across a diverse range of channels, including newsletters, websites, social media, and paid advertising. Additionally, you will develop content-gathering initiatives, capture and edit engaging photos and videos, and coordinate with freelance content creators to enhance the brand's visibility. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the accuracy and freshness of information across the website and social media platforms, fostering positive relations with community partners, and supporting event management and promotions. As a brand ambassador, you will represent Willamette Pass Resort in all digital and in-person communications, showcasing exceptional customer service skills. The role requires regular engagement with platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics/Data Studio, and may involve working on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, with the potential for additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Be an advocate for the company purpose, 'Give People the Freedom to Ski', and embody the company cultures and values.
  • Spearhead campaigns and communications across newsletters, websites, social media, and paid advertising.
  • Develop content-gathering initiatives, capture and edit engaging photos and videos, and coordinate with freelance content creators.
  • Ensure the accuracy and freshness of information across the website, social media, and other online platforms.
  • Foster positive relations with community partners while promoting brand values.
  • Support event management and promotions.
  • Represent Willamette Pass Resort as a brand ambassador and customer service representative in all digital and in-person communications.
  • Regularly work with platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics/Data Studio.
  • Work on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, with the potential for additional responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in business or marketing is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be available to work at least 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Resort marketing experience is not required but preferred.
  • Part 107 Drone License/Drone Experience.
  • Previously worked in the ski industry.
  • Strong skiing or snowboarding skills.
