About the position

Everspring is a leading provider of education technology and service solutions, and our Marketing team serves as the voice of our university partner online programs. This dynamic team consists of visual thinkers, creative collaborators, storytellers, and scrappy problem-solvers, all dedicated to championing our partners and their students. We pride ourselves on being a passionate, high-performing team that delivers impactful and engaging educational products and services to our customers. The Marketing Copywriter will play a crucial role in developing marketing and editorial content that supports both new and existing brand efforts. This includes crafting creative campaigns, web pages, landing pages, emails, paid and organic social posts, blogs, display ads, paid search ads, video scripts, and other digital channels for our university partners. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of meeting tight deadlines and pivoting seamlessly between various partners and project types. The ideal candidate will proactively collaborate with all project stakeholders, taking the initiative to start conversations, explore concepts, and gather necessary information to execute on-target end products. This position reports to the Creative Director and collaborates with other members of the creative and larger marketing team. Candidates should possess at least 2-3 years of professional marketing and copywriting experience, demonstrating a proven command of both long and short-form copy, preferably with a focus on creating business-to-consumer content. This role is based in Chicago, IL, requiring onsite presence at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective copy that aligns with marketing strategy to support lead generation, nurturing, and conversion across marketing media.
  • Work with keywords and SEO strategies provided by our SEO team.
  • Utilize AI tools for process efficiencies.
  • Establish understanding of Everspring university partners and their respective programs, markets, target customers, and competitive advantages.
  • Maintain a consistent track record of developing copy that is well received by clients.
  • Help update and maintain brand style guides, tone, and positioning.
  • Propose, create, and implement new projects that help improve funnel conversion rates.
  • Become proficient in project management software and take ownership of status updates on all assigned projects.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years professional experience in copywriting and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AP Style.
  • Advanced copywriting and editing capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, including consistency in style and tone across brands.
  • Demonstrate personal initiative and the ability to self-start upcoming projects.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including those in content development, design, acquisitions, learning and instructional design, admissions, client engagement, and technology.
  • Ability to interpret feedback from partners, quality assurance analysts, and marketing peers and execute accordingly, providing thoughtful deliverables that are on-target with project goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong portfolio that provides effective, brand-aligned copywriting across multiple media.
  • Manage project timelines in a way that allows for necessary research and/or interviews before executing content development.
  • Proficiency with prompt writing in AI tools to generate outlines and other helpful resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, pivoting as needed in response to changing priorities.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to track your own schedule of deliverables.
