The Marketing & Creative Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing the activities of assigned functions and staff engaged in marketing, design, presentation, and advertising activities. This role involves coordinating the work of department staff, performing performance evaluations, developing staff, and engaging in employee relations. The supervisor provides oversight and art direction on marketing, advertising, and branding projects from inception to completion, which includes both internal staff design projects and contractor projects. In addition to supervising staff, the supervisor designs graphic projects that encompass advertising campaigns, new branding initiatives, collateral, signage, maps, ads, web banners, and other visual materials. The role requires fostering and managing relationships with advertising and design vendors, RTC officials, staff, and representatives from various organizations and the public to secure partnerships and sponsorships. The supervisor is also responsible for planning, developing, and implementing communications plans, strategic branding, marketing, and advertising campaigns regarding RTC programs for both internal and external audiences. The position includes assisting with the planning and implementation of public outreach events and special events, including managing event visuals and collateral. The supervisor will also oversee the scheduling, negotiating costs, and purchasing media space and time, as well as coordinating, researching, writing, and producing marketing and advertising collateral such as annual reports, brochures, maps, and website content. Additionally, the supervisor produces videos for internal and external audiences, drafts scripts, conducts interviews, and edits materials. The role requires staying current on trends, innovations, and legal developments in the design, transit, marketing, and advertising fields, while also overseeing safety responsibilities and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
