About the position

The Manager of Data Engineering and Architecture at Toyota will lead the development, deployment, and operations of cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud and AWS, to support the business and marketing technology teams. This role focuses on creating and managing data pipelines, ensuring security and compliance, and fostering innovation within the technology landscape. The position requires collaboration with various teams to future-proof technology solutions and educate stakeholders on capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, deployment, and operations of cloud platforms (AWS and GCP).
• Manage data pipelines into and out of marketing applications.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational parity across cloud technologies.
• Develop a team of data engineers and consultants to meet current and future business needs.
• Contribute to the larger platform community at Toyota and collaborate with leaders across OneTech.
• Educate teams on innovative technology solutions and best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data product development and engineering.
• Proven ability to create relational and non-relational data structures in SQL and non-SQL databases.
• Experience with data integration patterns and cloud engineering.
• Ability to decompose architecture into smaller components for agile development.
• Experience leading design and code reviews.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Martech (Adobe Experience platform) and Adtech platforms (Google Marketing Platform).
• Certification in GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience with tool evaluation and platform research.
