About the position

The Data Scientist role is focused on supporting the marketing teams within a global heavy equipment division. This position is responsible for designing and maintaining data systems, mining and cleaning data for analysis, and communicating insights to empower organizational leaders in making informed decisions. The role offers a unique opportunity to engage with complex business issues while contributing to the marketing strategy through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining data systems and databases, including troubleshooting potential issues.
• Mining and cleaning data in preparation for analysis.
• Identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate improvements with the appropriate project/process owners.
• Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy across the world.
• Communicating insights with business teams and key stakeholders.
• Preparing reports which effectively communicate key metrics.
• Preparing strategic recommendations for process adjustments, procedures, and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, marketing, or a similar field with data skills.
• 1-2 years of professional experience utilizing data science in a marketing environment.
• Proficient skills in Power BI including DAX and Power Query M coding.
• Demonstrated experience with Snowflake.
• Ability to confirm deliverables associated with requirements analysis and communicate with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
