Marketing Data Scientist

About the position

The Marketing Data Scientist at Mojang Studios will play a crucial role in driving marketing strategies and enhancing player engagement through data analysis. This position involves transforming complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives that inform decision-making across the organization. The role requires collaboration with various teams to analyze trends and opportunities in marketing analytics, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Craft complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Level up our understanding of trends, drivers, and opportunities with knowledge of marketing analytics, statistics, and machine learning.
• Mine efficiently through large datasets in a Databricks environment using SparkSQL and PySpark.
• Coordinate work with fellow data scientists and marketing, product, and engineering teams to create timely analysis focused on business outcomes.
• Stay on the leaderboard of industry trends and marketing analytics to ensure our methods are always game-changing.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience OR
• Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of marketing analytics experience
• 3+ years of experience with Python or SQL
• 2+ years of experience with dashboarding tools.
