About the position

The Marketing/Development Coordinator at Rock County Substance Abuse Recovery Center is a part-time role focused on supporting the organization's marketing and development efforts. The position involves planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns, managing donor relationships, and promoting the organization's mission to provide a safe place for long-term residential substance abuse recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization's goals with planning, executing, and tracking of marketing campaigns such as email, newsletter, social media, or content marketing
  • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice
  • Attend community programs and donor functions to raise awareness and funds while promoting Rock County Restorations
  • Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including public relations efforts through email and direct mail
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis
  • Manage relationships with donors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure donors are nurtured and valued
  • Outreach to churches and medium-large corporations for donor support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field, OR 3 - 5 years of experience in marketing and or development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proofreading skills
  • Firm grasp of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital and email marketing
  • Self-starter able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • High level of creativity
  • Development skills for seeking donations from church, civic industry, and business organizations
  • Public relations experience with events and public speaking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
