About the position

The Marketing Director at Advocate Aurora Health is responsible for leading the B2B marketing strategy across various products and service lines. This role emphasizes a consumer-first approach to enhance customer acquisition, activation, and loyalty, supporting the organization's growth objectives. The director will provide leadership in brand management, cross-channel marketing efforts, and project management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams to achieve marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Advocate Aurora Health's integrated marketing strategy with a focus on B2B marketing.
  • Support brand leadership in the implementation and management of brand campaigns and marketing efforts.
  • Provide dynamic leadership to positively impact business initiatives and ensure cross-functional collaboration.
  • Connect with service lines and PSAs to target audiences with appropriate messaging through the right channels.
  • Provide project management support to ensure consistency and identify brand-related opportunities.
  • Leverage data and insights for strategic marketing decision-making and optimization.
  • Sponsor the development and testing of innovative value propositions and programs to build brand awareness.
  • Establish goals, objectives, and performance metrics for marketing investments based on business objectives.
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness and ROI of marketing investments.
  • Perform human resources responsibilities including interviewing, promotions, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and recommend operating and capital budgets, controlling expenditures within approved objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and relevant policies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to further brand and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor project timelines and expenditures to ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with team members and external vendors to direct projects on behalf of the brand team.
  • Maintain knowledge about industry and marketing trends and monitor competitors' marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Typically requires 10+ years of experience in branding, advertising, or communications.
  • Experience in an agency or retail setting is preferred.
  • Strong strategic, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects effectively.
  • Persuasive and sales-driven mindset with a creative perspective.
  • Experience with creative development best practices and production processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in using presentation, database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Health care experience is not required but preferred.
