About the position

The Marketing Director, Chronic Therapies - Kidney Care at Baxter will play a pivotal role in establishing and directing the marketing strategy for the Chronic products and services within the newly formed company, Vantive. This position is crucial as Vantive aims to build on Baxter's nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and dialysis, focusing on delivering best-in-class care to patients. The Marketing Director will lead a high-performing team responsible for managing a portfolio that generates over $1 billion in business, ensuring that the marketing strategies align with the company's vision and operational goals. In this role, the Marketing Director will partner with various internal teams, including ISC, Finance, Clinical, Market Access, Regulatory, and Global Marketing, to ensure the successful day-to-day operations of the business. The individual will own the US product launch plans, including the development of go-to-market strategies, and will serve as the primary contact for all Automated PD cycler platforms. This includes assessing market needs, developing marketing strategies and materials, and supporting market initiatives to ensure successful commercial launches. The Marketing Director will also be responsible for delivering financial forecasting, product allocation, and identifying budget requirements to ensure proper execution of marketing plans. Leading market research and analysis of market trends will be essential to inform the go-to-market strategy. The individual will develop marketing collateral and training materials to assist with product launches, growth, and maintenance phases, while managing all operational facets of the product, including inventory management, profitability, quality issues, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Marketing Director will create strategies, training, and promotional materials for healthcare professionals and patients, build business models for forecasting, and interface with global corporate executives. High-caliber project management skills are necessary to support the launch of major advancements and drive high-visibility projects through multiple stage gates. The role requires relentless progress towards launch dates, integrating multiple workstreams into a cohesive launch strategy. The Marketing Director will also develop marketing plans and promotional materials for Emerging Therapies products and services, ensuring that value propositions and claims optimize the product portfolio for improved profitability and sustainability. The individual will serve as a business and marketing resource for leadership, sales, finance, and other stakeholders, understanding the strategic vision across multiple businesses to align therapy growth objectives. Cross-stakeholder marketing support will be critical to drive business growth in the US, delivering goal-oriented launch stage gates and developing consistent messaging and reporting metrics around initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with ISC, Finance, Clinical, Market Access, Regulatory and Global Marketing teams to ensure successful day to day operations of business
  • Own US product launch plans including go-to-market strategies
  • Serve as the US organizational contact for all Automated PD cycler platforms, assessing market needs / barriers, developing marketing strategy and materials, supporting market initiatives, and ensuring successful commercial launches
  • Deliver financial forecasting, product allocation and identify budget requirements to ensure proper execution
  • Lead/support market research and analyses of market trends to inform go-to-market strategy
  • Lead the development of marketing collateral and training materials to assist with launch, growth, and product maintenance phases
  • Manage all facets of the on-going operationalization of the product, including inventory management, profitability, quality issues, and regulatory compliance
  • Create strategy, training, and promotional pieces related to the portfolio for healthcare professionals and patients
  • Build fundamental business models that will be used for business forecasting and alignment with capacity planning and long-range plans, partnering with critical stakeholders
  • Interface with global corporate executives such as the Global and Regional management team
  • Demonstrate high caliber project management skills - Supporting the launch of a major advancement and driving high visibility projects through multiple stage gates - early high focus on market research
  • Relentlessly drive progress towards Launch dates, bringing together multiple workstreams to a single launch point
  • Develop marketing plans, training, and promotional pieces for Emerging Therapies products and Services - including value propositions and claims that optimizes the product portfolio offering to improve profitability & sustainability
  • Develop foundational tools and materials to support consistent, aligned, and on-brand promotion, marketing plans, training, and promotional pieces
  • Serve as business and marketing resource for leadership, sales, finance and other stakeholders
  • Understand strategic vision across multiple business to knit together therapy growth objectives
  • Provide cross stakeholder marketing support to drive business growth in the US by delivering specific goal-oriented launch stage gates to successful completion
  • Developing consistent messaging and reporting metrics around these initiatives
  • Collaborating with sales, clinical education, finance, supply chain, marketing and other stakeholders
  • Partnering closely with global Marketing and Medical teams
  • Act as thought leader to review, examine and execute all commercial and therapy opportunities that are accretive to the business and within the business bandwidth to deliver results

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree required
  • 10+ years Marketing experience required - including successful launch experiences
  • 3+ years demonstrated marketing experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medication device, and/or life science industries preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and find creative, innovative solutions to business challenges
  • Digital literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce.com
