About the position

The Marketing Director at Tanger is responsible for driving marketing strategies to increase center sales and traffic, promoting the center and its retailers, and creating sponsorship and media income opportunities. This role involves close collaboration with the management team, vendors, tenants, and shoppers to enhance the customer experience and support retailers' success. The Marketing Director will also assist in developing a comprehensive strategic business plan and will be a key ambassador for the Tanger brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan and budget to increase center sales and traffic.
• Drive sponsorship and media sales, supporting Tanger corporate programs.
• Create mutually beneficial marketing partnerships to meet annual revenue goals.
• Monitor and maintain the marketing budget, adjusting plans based on real-time business climate.
• Complete monthly financial forecasts and provide updates to the General Manager.
• Create and execute national and local programs that drive traffic and sales.
• Manage the local sales process from beginning to end, establishing a pipeline and refining sales targets.
• Communicate the benefits of Tanger Outlets and offer marketing solutions to clients.
• Collaborate with corporate marketing and media agencies to develop targeted advertising plans.
• Engage with the local community to develop tourism strategies and partnerships.
• Participate in local events and maintain relationships with community leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• 4+ years of experience in marketing, sales, public relations, or hospitality.
• Management/supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capacity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
