About the position

The Personal Lines Marketing Director is responsible for managing the placement of personal clients' insurance business, ensuring comprehensive coverage at competitive costs. This role involves analyzing policies, understanding client risks, and directly impacting revenue through new business acquisition and renewal retention. The Marketing Director will also liaise with producers and underwriters, execute quality control processes, and maintain logs to identify trends in new business and renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Market all lines of personal insurance to meet revenue goals through new business acquisition and renewal retention.
  • Assist in analyzing line of business and insurance company production trends, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Act as account liaison for producers, coordinating with other departments for quoting specialized coverage.
  • Assist producers with pre-underwriting information, submissions, coverage analysis, RFPs, and proposal presentations.
  • Execute a quality control process for policies and quotations to ensure accuracy in coverage, conditions, ratings, and pricing.
  • Build relationships with insurance company underwriters through professional submissions and negotiations.
  • Maintain new business and renewal control logs to assist in trend identification.
  • Handle M&E Marketing for assigned locations.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 5-7 years of insurance marketing/underwriting experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Property & Casualty License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and agency management systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and coach others
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities
