About the position

We are seeking a Marketing Professional to support our Skilled Nursing Facility. The purpose of your job position is to develop, coordinate, and implement a marketing plan with clear objectives based on the facility's strengths and meet and exceed the monthly goals of increasing facility census with appropriate ratio mix of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care and private payer in accordance with current federal, state and local guidelines that govern the facility and as directed by management and/or the Administrator. The Marketer will treat each patient fairly, kindly, and show them dignity and respect. They will refer to each patient by their name. They will communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively when speaking to patients, family members, visitors, all staff and governmental agencies. They will work cooperatively with facility multidisciplinary team to determine if potential patients meet facility acuity and financial requirements. They will be committed to always doing the right thing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement a marketing plan with clear objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator to ensure census goals are met.
  • Submit a weekly calendar of scheduled marketing appointments to the Administrator.
  • Make daily contact with acute care case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and physicians.
  • Manage patient family relationships and meet with them upon admissions to ensure the completion of facility required admission paperwork.
  • Assess potential patients in local hospitals and answer their questions about the facility.
  • Maintain a database of physician and case manager contacts and profiles.
  • Participate in local community events to promote visibility and increase facility's census.
  • Follow operational budget guidelines.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings.
  • Oversee inquiries from physicians, hospital discharge planners, etc., and respond to all referrals within 15 minutes of receipt.
  • Ensure all new admissions to the facility have proper documentation for PDPM compliance.
  • Keep updated with Medicare/Medicaid regulations governing admission and discharge requirements.
  • Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately.
  • Protect each patient's/resident's file and data confidentially per HIPAA standards.
  • Abide by all facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 - 5 years of marketing/admissions experience in healthcare/SNF setting.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster shots.
  • Previous experience in marketing or other related fields.
  • Strong leadership qualities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in admissions (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (2 years required).
