About the position

The Marketing Director at the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center (MBJCC) is responsible for overseeing all marketing, advertising, and public relations efforts. This role requires a blend of creativity and structure, with a focus on developing and implementing long-term marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and promote the agency's programs and services. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various departments, manage multiple projects, and ensure high-quality, on-brand communications across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement marketing and communications long-term strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Serve as the primary resource for marketing and promotional activities across the organization.
  • Meet with department heads to determine marketing needs and develop strategies within budget constraints.
  • Design and develop an e-marketing strategy and oversee production of e-newsletters.
  • Develop and design collateral materials including brochures, newsletters, and flyers.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of writing and editorial standards for all publications.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media and email campaigns.
  • Cultivate media contacts and identify opportunities for media promotion.
  • Oversee community outreach and marketing communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, and/or communications.
  • Proven graphic design and social media skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of publication budget planning and monitoring.
  • Experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
  • Skill set and knowledge of WordPress.
  • Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and design software like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Experience working with digital display solutions.
