About the position

The Marketing Director at Hillside Rehab and Healthcare Center is a pivotal role responsible for driving top-line revenue for the facility. This position is based in a well-established skilled nursing facility located in Saint Louis, MO. The Marketing Director will oversee external marketing efforts, face-to-face (F2F) sales, business development, referral generation, and the overall census growth performance for the facility. The role requires a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, ensuring that the company culture is upheld and promoted throughout all marketing activities. As a member of the leadership team, the Marketing Director will maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines while being personally accountable for achieving quotas and maintaining professional relationships. The position involves developing and implementing strategic marketing plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in collaboration with the Executive Regional Business Development Director. Weekly marketing meetings with the facility Administrator and the Interdisciplinary Team will be essential for discussing bed offers, prospecting for referrals, and planning marketing agendas. The Marketing Director will also be responsible for maintaining a strong knowledge of competitors, services provided, and conducting competitive analysis. Open communication with supervisors and the home office regarding roadblocks or areas of concern is crucial. Additionally, the role includes supervising outside business development activities and participating in required training programs to enhance job-related knowledge and skills. The Marketing Director will set individual goals for the sales team, focusing on outreach and performance metrics, while also performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Drive top line revenue for the facility by maintaining and exceeding budgeted census and case mix.
  • Oversee external marketing efforts, F2F sales, business development, and referral generation.
  • Support and promote the mission, vision, and culture of the organization as a member of the leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Achieve quotas and maintain professional relationships through F2F marketing/sales of facility services.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans in cooperation with the Executive Regional Business Development Director.
  • Participate in weekly marketing meetings to discuss bed offers, prospecting, and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Communicate openly with supervisors regarding roadblocks or concerns.
  • Supervise and ensure the effectiveness of outside business development activities.
  • Attend required facility in-service trainings and participate in company training programs.
  • Develop job-related knowledge and skills through continuing education opportunities.
  • Implement individual goals and targets for the sales team regarding outreach and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Nursing Home Marketing, 3 years preferred.
  • Recent Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience of at least 1 year is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for effective communication and training.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to explain service fee structures.
  • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage, supervise, coach, and motivate others.
  • Effective sales, leadership, and presentation skills, including public speaking.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and utilize Yardi Lead Management software.
