The Marketing Director at Nexen Tire America is a pivotal role responsible for driving the company's sales and profitability through the execution of effective marketing brand strategies. This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide direction and leadership for marketing strategy programs and product planning. The Marketing Director will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to oversee all functions related to marketing communication, ensuring that the marketing efforts align with the company's overall goals and objectives. In this role, the Marketing Director will assist in the setup of brand marketing strategies and will be responsible for creating and communicating a calendar of marketing events to the sales team. The position involves media selection and buying in collaboration with agencies, as well as creating and managing sports marketing initiatives and sponsorships. The Marketing Director will prepare bi-annual reports for the President and Vice Chairman, as well as ad hoc marketing reports for the CEO of North America and the President at headquarters. Additionally, the Marketing Director will manage various communication materials for dealers, oversee the Nexen ACE online educational training portal, and maintain the company's online presence through social media and the Nexen Tire app. The role also includes operating a retail rebranding initiative and designing consumer promotions and channel co-promotions. Monthly activity reports will be submitted to the CEO, ensuring that all marketing activities are tracked and evaluated for effectiveness. This position is empowered to make decisions within the region, with the approval of the Executive Vice President of Marketing, and has the authority to make cross-functional decisions in partnership with peers from other functions. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, supervisory or management experience, and a strong understanding of the tire industry sales market segments.
