The Sales and Marketing Director at Harmony at Wescott plays a crucial role in overseeing the internal and external marketing efforts of the community. The director will be responsible for ensuring that the community is always ready to make a great first impression, which includes adhering to the Harmony Senior Services Way. This involves maintaining building readiness and developing a model room according to established protocols. Training staff on how to create the best first impressions with residents, families, and prospects is also a key responsibility, including training on telephone etiquette. In addition to first impressions, the Sales and Marketing Director will be tasked with market planning. This includes developing a quarterly marketing plan in collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, and completing all marketing reports in a timely manner. Leading internal marketing meetings will also be part of the role, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the marketing strategy. The director will manage all inquiries personally when present in the building and provide training for staff on inquiry handling, both by phone and in person, according to corporate guidelines. It is essential to ensure that there is adequate leadership availability for inquiries and tours in the absence of the Sales and Marketing Director. Customer service training will be integrated into the orientation of all new hires and conducted annually for all staff to maintain high service standards. Tracking leads and following up with prospects is another critical aspect of this role. The director will utilize a lead tracking system to document all contacts with prospects and ensure timely responses to inquiries. Identifying needs, barriers, and next steps for each inquiry will be essential for effective follow-up and reporting on marketing activities. Referral development is also a significant responsibility, which includes conducting external marketing calls, following up on those calls, and hosting community events.
