About the position

As the Marketing Director at Oiselle, you will play a pivotal role in driving business impact. The ideal candidate has experience authoring marketing strategy to drive brand equity and sales growth, and also enjoys rolling up their sleeves to build structure and process for a team to execute against. This position oversees all of marketing, and is accountable for strategy and results for: 2 direct reports, marketing channels (owned, earned, paid), and project management across the department. Strong leadership skills, experience with a primarily Direct business, and a passion for women's sports, are all a plus. In this role, you will develop Oiselle's annual marketing calendar in collaboration with the CEO, Senior eCommerce Manager, and Creative Director to meet business, channel, brand, and customer growth needs. You will implement this calendar as a company-wide resource for strategy and vision. Additionally, you will author and implement monthly content strategy plans to inform marketing channel and creative production tactics, ensuring that all in-market assets are of high quality and effectiveness. You will be responsible for growing brand sales, awareness, and loyalty via Oiselle's marketing channels, managing and overseeing two program managers who handle marketing programs and/or channels. Your leadership will inspire executional excellence, create accountability, and improve results while increasing bandwidth. You will prioritize business impact and results over activity, collaborating with marketing and creative teams to optimize content, channel, and process strategies. Furthermore, you will own creative project management end-to-end, ensuring that strategy, impact, and brief/task requirements are met. You will manage brand-level marketing programs, including partnerships and public relations, while being accountable for impact and budget management. Collaboration with the Senior eCommerce Manager will be essential to drive direct sales growth and customer acquisition and retention, creating a 5-star user journey to achieve acquisition, retention, and sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Oiselle's annual marketing calendar with CEO, Senior eCommerce Manager, and Creative Director.
  • Implement the marketing calendar as a company-wide resource for strategy and vision.
  • Author and implement monthly content strategy plans to inform marketing channel and creative production tactics.
  • Be accountable for the quality and effectiveness of all in-market assets.
  • Manage and oversee two program managers who manage marketing programs and/or channels.
  • Grow brand sales, awareness, and loyalty via Oiselle marketing channels.
  • Provide vision, leadership, and mentorship that inspires executional excellence.
  • Own creative project management end-to-end, ensuring strategy and task requirements are met.
  • Manage brand-level marketing programs, such as brand partnerships and public relations.
  • Be accountable for the marketing budget plan and monthly actuals reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with Senior eCommerce Manager to drive direct sales growth and customer acquisition.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and project management at a consumer-facing brand or agency, in the fashion, outdoor, or active lifestyle industry.
  • Fundamental understanding of marketing strategy, media, and consumer behavior.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce and DTC models pertaining to content and marketing levers and impact.
  • Organizational style that prioritizes business impact and can simplify processes.
  • Management style that empowers a team through clear and actionable direction.
  • Proactive workstyle, excellent at managing up and sideways to drive progress.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and organizational skills.
