About the position

Jennings McCall Retirement Community is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Director to join our team in Forest Grove, OR. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, high energy, and a friendly demeanor to effectively engage with prospective residents and their families. This role is crucial in achieving and maintaining a high occupancy rate within our community by actively managing referrals, leads, and inquiries. The Marketing Director will utilize database information and various tools to ensure a proactive follow-up on all potential leads, fostering relationships from the initial inquiry through to move-in and residency. In this position, the Marketing Director will work closely with prospective residents and their families, meeting them at their preferred locations and times. The role also involves assisting the Administrator in producing timely sales reports, budgets, and other written communications. Collaboration with the Administrator is essential to meet the occupancy goals of the organization. Weekly one-on-one meetings will be held to review prospects, share ideas, develop action steps, and recognize performance towards goals. The Marketing Director will need to be well-versed in the amenities, pricing, and offerings of other communities in the area, analyzing demographics and market trends annually to identify opportunities and execute effective sales plans. This role requires effective collaboration with other Department Managers to facilitate occupancy agreements, ensure apartment readiness, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs. The Marketing Director will also represent Jennings McCall outside the facility, acting as a resource person and spokesperson as directed by the Administrator. Additional responsibilities include welcoming visitors, providing tours, answering questions, and capturing contact information from event attendees. The Marketing Director will work with reception staff to ensure all inquiries are logged for follow-up and that guests are greeted professionally. Participation in on-site programs, training, and Department Head meetings is expected, along with maintaining a clean and organized workspace conducive to meetings with prospects and their families. The role also involves managing social media sites and updating the Jennings McCall website as needed, along with any other duties assigned by the Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain a high occupancy rate through active management of referrals, leads, and inquiries using database information and other tools.
  • Proactively follow-up on all possible leads.
  • Work closely with prospective residents and their families from initial inquiry through move-in and residency.
  • Assist the Administrator in producing sales reports, budgets, and other written communication in a timely manner.
  • Actively work with the Administrator in meeting the occupancy goals of the organization.
  • Attend weekly 1:1 meetings to review prospects, share ideas, develop action steps, and recognize performance towards goals.
  • Analyze area demographics and market trends annually, identify opportunities, and execute sales plans.
  • Work effectively with other Department Managers to facilitate occupancy agreements, ensure apartment readiness, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
  • Spend time outside the facility as a resource person, information source, and spokesperson for Jennings McCall as directed by the Administrator.
  • Welcome visitors and be available to give tours, answer questions from residents or guests, and direct them within the facility.
  • Effectively capture names and contact information of people attending events, tours, and activities at Jennings McCall.
  • Enter names into the database of potential prospects and follow up with everyone as appropriate.
  • Work with reception staff to ensure that all inquiries are entered into a database for follow-up and that calls are referred to the appropriate department.
  • Participate in on-site programs or training as applicable, including Department Head meetings and AM Stand Up.
  • Keep the Administrator well informed of any incidents, accidents, and changes in occupancies, and staff issues that arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace that is always presentable and conducive to meeting with prospects and their families with or without notice.
  • Maintain social media sites and the Jennings McCall website updates.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in digital marketing.
  • Proven team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in marketing, preferably in a retirement community.
