About the position

The Marketing Director at IPM is responsible for leading the overall marketing direction of the company, focusing on planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive business development. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and managing marketing initiatives that align with the company's growth goals and competitive context.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy to marketing strategy.
  • Develop marketing strategy based on collaboration with the Executive Team and understanding of the firm's competencies, services, growth goals, and competitive context.
  • Own marketing elements of the Go-to-Market framework, modifying as necessary to meet changing requirements.
  • Support the evaluation of potential new business strategies such as new services or new client industries.
  • Maintain an efficient and effective collaboration between marketing and corporate business development.
  • Lead the firm's marketing function and collaborate with marketing team members to identify and execute tactics that align with strategic goals.
  • Manage the performance and development of the marketing team to support IPM's growth goals.
  • Govern the IPM brand in collaboration with the Executive Team, ensuring effective brand management.
  • Serve as owner of marketing KPIs, collaborating with the team to define, gather, and report on them.
  • Create, analyze, and oversee the marketing budget.
  • Lead marketing strategy creation and effective tactic identification for select areas within the firm.
  • Capture and summarize outcomes achieved via data and report them back to the area leader.

Requirements

  • Highly developed leadership, communication (verbal and written), presentation, analytical, negotiation, change management, networking, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization, initiative, teamwork, motivation, planning, insight, foresight and strategy skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and grow knowledge and skillset for self and the marketing team.
  • BS or BA in marketing or related business studies.
  • At least ten years' experience leading B2B marketing efforts in the professional services industry.
  • Experience in marketing services to life science, healthcare, consumer, and/or industrial sectors is preferred.
  • Five years in a senior management role involving regular executive interface and participation in strategy development.
  • Strong knowledge and application of digital marketing and associated channels.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation, preferably Salesforce and Pardot.
  • Expertise in MS office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing services to life science, healthcare, consumer, and/or industrial sectors is preferred.
