About the position

The Marketing & Engagement Specialist at Association Development Services (A.D.S.) is a full-time role focused on enhancing member engagement and managing marketing initiatives for various association clients. This position requires a strong understanding of marketing principles and a passion for digital and social media trends. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the engagement of association members, assisting in the marketing and administration of programs, and managing social media platforms for A.D.S. and its clients. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and clients effectively. A.D.S. is an accredited association management company located in Roseville, MN, providing management and administrative services to non-profit trade and professional associations. The services offered include executive, administrative, and financial management, strategic planning, membership development, education and professional development, certification program management, meeting/event planning, and marketing and communication services. The Marketing & Engagement Specialist will play a crucial role in promoting these services and enhancing the overall member experience. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a professional office setting, excellent customer service skills, and a proven track record in managing corporate social media platforms. They will be skilled in creating and editing video and audio files, developing compelling online marketing campaigns, and demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office products. The role also requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive under pressure while meeting deadlines. The specialist will be proactive in brainstorming improvements to member experiences and current association offerings, ensuring that marketing strategies align with brand standards and media policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer associations' member programs with a focus on marketing and increasing engagement/participation.
  • Manage multiple social media platforms for multiple clients/companies, creating graphics and verbiage, curating content, and monitoring messages and comments.
  • Edit video and audio files for publication and promotion.
  • Manage volunteer and committee activities as needed.
  • Implement, update, and adhere to media policies and brand standards for multiple clients.
  • Brainstorm improvements to the member experience and current association offerings.
  • Provide support in online marketing areas such as website and eblast management.
  • Be proactive, positive, and an asset to the A.D.S. Team.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in a professional office setting with excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in managing corporate/business social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
  • Skilled in creating and editing video and audio files.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling online marketing campaigns for various target audiences.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
