About the position

The Marketing Event Manager at FranklinCovey is responsible for managing conferences and trade shows to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and facilitate business meetings. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify potential events, executing logistics, and ensuring successful outcomes post-conference. The position requires strong communication and project management skills, along with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential conferences that will increase company brand awareness for prospective target audiences.
  • Interpret timely industry and marketplace topics to integrate into conference initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to submit conference and trade show applications.
  • Identify and execute booth strategies that will generate new leads and drive business meetings.
  • Coordinate conference logistics with internal speakers and executives, public relations, vendors, and marketing department.
  • Manage the creation of digital and print marketing assets to be utilized at conferences and trade show booths.
  • Support sales teams with local conferences.
  • Other projects, including potential webcast and live event tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of marketing experience.
  • Associate's Degree or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field.
  • 2+ years of webinar/webcast experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail with a track record of operational excellence.
  • Bias for action, a pattern of achievement, energy, motivation, and is not afraid to get out of their comfort zone to learn something new or solve a problem.
  • Exceptional time management and planning skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in priorities.
