About the position

The Marketing Specialist will be part of the energy account services team, focusing on planning, development, and implementation of marketing and advertising strategies to support energy efficiency efforts with a utility in New Jersey. This role involves collaboration with a large creative and paid media services group to execute marketing campaigns aimed at helping clients and communities use less energy and save money. The position is remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while requiring minimal local travel.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day project management of marketing, events, and advertising strategies for energy efficiency efforts.
  • Develop and manage a strategic event calendar through research and discussions with clients.
  • Assist in event logistics planning, including project trackers and online event management software.
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for event staff.
  • Develop and present reports and overviews for event strategy, plans, and results.
  • Participate in and lead weekly calls with event subcontractors, partners, and clients.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing or advertising managing accounts and/or projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated to learn and understand new concepts and strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Knowledge of client management, marketing, creative development, and social media environments.
