About the position

The Marketing, Events and Development Coordinator at Kids on Bikes (KOB) is responsible for enhancing the organization's brand awareness and community engagement through strategic marketing initiatives, event planning, and fundraising efforts. This role involves managing social media platforms, coordinating events, and developing marketing strategies to support the mission of empowering children through bicycling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive business growth for Kids on Bikes and The Pedal Station.
  • Plan and coordinate year-round marketing and events.
  • Create consistent and cohesive content for social media and other platforms.
  • Coordinate and market bike donation drives.
  • Plan and execute the annual fundraising luncheon, including sponsorships.
  • Maintain a donor database and create campaigns for past donors.
  • Create end-of-year donor impact letters and donation receipts.
  • Develop specific marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Attend community events to build relationships and solicit donations.
  • Support the Executive Director with funder relationships and funding strategies.
  • Manage social media platforms and create engaging content.
  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate email and mail marketing campaigns for revenue streams.
  • Check and respond to assigned email account daily.
  • Utilize Google Drive, Google Calendar, Excel, Word, and Gmail functionalities.
  • Use Canva, Instagram, Loomly, LinkedIn, and Facebook for marketing efforts.
  • Maintain communication with the Deputy Director and other staff, providing data and reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a goal-oriented approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
