About the position

The Marketing Events Coordinator at DLA Piper is responsible for organizing logistics for various small to mid-sized events, including client entertainment, networking, and appreciation events. This role emphasizes providing exceptional service to attorneys, staff, clients, and business partners while collaborating closely with the marketing department. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute events including invite creation, list management, venue sourcing, menu selection, and vendor management.
• Collaborate with event stakeholders to coordinate staff/client events such as dinners and receptions.
• Administer the CVENT platform, including creating invitations, managing attendee lists, and generating reports.
• Order promotional items, speaker gifts, and marketing materials.
• Develop relationships with vendors and industry professionals.
• Ensure events are delivered on time and within budget.
• Travel as needed for on-site event execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in event planning required.
• Experience working with budgets and knowledge of CRM and CVENT preferred.
• Solid project management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and some knowledge of event technologies.
