About the position

The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a pivotal role at Swinomish Casino & Lodge, responsible for the comprehensive coordination of casino promotions, events, and live entertainment. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage the implementation and execution of various promotional activities while ensuring seamless communication across the organization. The coordinator will oversee the planning and organizational processes for live entertainment and off-site events, working closely with vendors, managing stage setups, and liaising with various departments within the casino. The role also involves supervising promotional team members, providing training, and fostering an engaging environment that enhances marketing materials for guests. In addition to event management, the Marketing and Events Coordinator will assist in the implementation of promotions and giveaways, ensuring that all marketing work order requests are processed efficiently. The coordinator will prepare and distribute information regarding upcoming events and promotions, maintaining a high level of professionalism in all communications with both internal and external guests. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, as is the ability to analyze data and present findings effectively. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a high level of self-direction and motivation. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining the professional appearance of the promotional team, ensuring that customer needs are met during events, and handling any inquiries or concerns with professionalism. This position requires a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, along with relevant experience in project management, public relations, and community management. A Washington State Class III Gaming License is also required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate casino promotions, events, and live entertainment.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of casino promotions.
  • Manage the planning process for live entertainment and off-site events.
  • Act as the go-to contact person for day-of live entertainment and events.
  • Assist in the implementation of promotions, giveaways, and meetings.
  • Upload content to promotional kiosks and assist with marketing work order requests.
  • Prepare and distribute information for upcoming events and promotions.
  • Communicate effectively with external and internal guests through various platforms.
  • Supervise promotional team members and manage their schedules.
  • Provide training for promotional team members on customer service and event guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and public relations.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, and community management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with the public and vendors.
