About the position

The Marketing and Events Manager at Bank of Marin is responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of both internal and external events. This role serves as the key decision-maker throughout the event process, ensuring seamless execution within budget while aligning with the Bank's objectives. Additionally, the position encompasses broader marketing responsibilities, including managing the Bank's social media presence, developing promotional materials, and supporting community engagement efforts. The role is crucial for maintaining the Bank's brand presence and fostering engagement both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all internal and external events.
  • Develop internal event concepts and strategies that align with employee engagement and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to design and execute customer events.
  • Develop event timelines, schedules, and workback plans to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue selection and vendor management.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies to produce event-related collateral.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor event budgets for cost-effective execution.
  • Analyze the success of each event and provide post-event reports and recommendations.
  • Oversee the Bank's social media presence, including content creation and engagement.
  • Manage the inventory and distribution of promotional items for events and marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of related experience in event management and marketing.
  • Master's degree (M.B.A.) with an emphasis in Marketing is a plus.
  • Proven experience in event management and vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to find win-win solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Subject-matter-expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in graphic design.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign software.
  • Some knowledge of database management and project management software.
