About the position

The Marketing, Events, and Programs Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing events and marketing programs in Richmond, CA. This part-time role requires strong graphic design and content creation skills, along with experience in event planning and marketing. The coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, Board Members, and community stakeholders to ensure successful event execution and brand promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design marketing materials including flyers, digital ads, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Maintain and grow social media presence across various platforms.
  • Create engaging content to promote events and brand offerings.
  • Create and coordinate multiple events throughout the year, ensuring all details of event planning to completion are organized.
  • Manage all event logistics, including scheduling, contracts, and communication with community and participants to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Oversee and manage event and marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
  • Assist in preparation of sponsorship and underwriter packages for funding events.
  • Work closely with Executive Director for programming, events planning, and scheduling.
  • Contribute to increasing brand awareness by identifying opportunities for event partnerships and community involvement, sponsorship, and underwriters of events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing, event creation, and all tasks associated with event sponsoring and execution.
  • Strong graphic design skills and social media management including content creation and scheduling.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, energetic and a relationship builder.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budget management experience required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings for events.
  • Experience with hospitality-related events, music, and business.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for content creation.
  • Experience in advertising sales and managing advertising campaigns.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and strategies.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, email marketing, and performance marketing.
  • Ability to develop and manage marketing budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
