About the position

The Marketing Manager for Random House Children's Books will be responsible for developing and executing marketing materials and campaigns for board and picture books. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create cohesive marketing strategies aimed at increasing awareness and driving sales among booksellers and parents of young readers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns for select frontlist and backlist Board and Picture Book titles
• Guide overall strategy for Picture Book and Board lists seasonally
• Work closely with the Middle Grade Senior Manager to create a cohesive Young Readers strategy
• Build in-house brands and characters
• Develop and manage marketing budgets for assigned titles
• Create and route campaign assets and materials
• Collaborate with design, digital marketing, school & library marketing, and publicity to ensure cohesive marketing plans and messaging
• Represent campaigns, event strategy, and other opportunities in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Utilize market research and analytics to monitor trends and optimize marketing strategies and target audiences
• Provide additional support to the Assistant Director as needed

Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in book marketing
• Interest in working with books for young readers (ages 12 and under)
• Experience working with or reaching parents of young children is a plus
• Highly organized with effective communication skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently as well as in a team
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain solution-oriented
• Willingness to learn and collaborate
