About the position

The Marketing Manager for the Equine Business Unit at Farnam is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand growth and profitability. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze brand performance, optimize marketing plans, and manage partnerships. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, consumer-centric approach, and the ability to lead marketing initiatives that resonate with both consumers and retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze brand performance and provide recommendations for optimizations and future strategic initiatives
  • Execute compelling and profitable brand plans that meet or exceed sales, gross margin and EBIT targets
  • Collaborate with sales to develop compelling customer programming, often participating in joint-business planning
  • Analyze category and competitive trends to identify areas of opportunity for brand growth
  • Partner with the innovation team to successfully navigate projects through the stage gate process
  • Lead packaging artwork and printed materials projects, from brief to commercialization
  • Own your piece of the marketing budget, maximizing working dollars and delivering ROI commitments
  • Lead partner agency in creative demand strategy & activation for Influencers, Brand Ambassadors, Endorsees and Strategic Partners
  • Develop clear and innovative industry partnerships that support the organization's short-term and long-term goals
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships and monitor their performance
  • Manage consumer events, including planning, negotiation, and administration
  • Lead Farnam branded marketing campaign project and influencer marketing campaign for overall awareness and sales driving activity
  • Support brand strategy, marketing plans and execution

Requirements

  • College Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience working within a marketing driven company
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Digital marketing preferred
  • Experience in the Equine industry is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw actionable conclusions from data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
