About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Free Training marketing team, dedicated to helping millions of people worldwide build their AWS cloud skills. This role is part of the AWS Growth Marketing team, focusing on Global Marketing Programs. As a Streaming Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the marketing strategy for our free training program and managing the operations of our livestream channel, AWS Training Live. In this position, you will be responsible for developing efficient marketing mechanisms and optimizing the customer journey. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams within Amazon, including product marketing, campaign marketing, product management, and developer relations. Your contributions will help find innovative ways to reach customers with our free livestreamed training, enhance our content strategy, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your daily tasks may include observing livestreamed training content to generate creative ideas for customer engagement, collaborating with colleagues to develop high-quality content, and analyzing data to derive insights that inform our marketing strategies. You will also be responsible for monitoring channel health, managing access to program tools, and ensuring adherence to marketing best practices. This role requires a passion for learning and helping others learn, as well as a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. You will be instrumental in contributing to the growth and development of the AWS Training program, ensuring that we continue to provide valuable resources to our audience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic plans for marketing program growth, including development of new content types, improvements to customer journey, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Develop video-on-demand marketing strategy through owned channels to drive improved outcomes for core content.
  • Analyze content performance and surface insights to stakeholders by creating series retrospectives and diving deep into metrics.
  • Manage marketing mechanisms for impact measurement.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, monitoring channel health, maintenance, and security.
  • Establish and manage mechanism for series intake, helping to select topics that align with marketing strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau for data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Demonstrated passion to continually learn and expand hands-on skills.
  • Highly collaborative and experienced working cross-functionally or with multiple stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up assumptions and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting and reporting.
  • Direct to consumer marketing experience, preferably for campaigns aimed at developers or high-tech products/services.
  • Experience managing livestream programming on social channels (e.g., YouTube, Twitch).
  • Experience with various marketing content mediums, such as blogs, email, web, live stream, video, podcast, and social media.
  • Experienced in managing and prioritizing multiple projects with great attention to detail.
