About the position

The Marketing Manager will oversee all aspects of marketing for a select portfolio of hotels and restaurants, focusing on driving interest in the company's products, services, and brand. This role involves developing market strategies, creating content, and coordinating marketing campaigns with regional locations. The Marketing Manager is expected to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring brand consistency and effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with hotel teams to drive marketing strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Marketing on portfolio-wide marketing opportunities.
  • Writing copy, proofing, and developing content as needed.
  • Acting as a resource to field and corporate staff regarding marketing opportunities.
  • Participating in branding and rebranding of managed assets including hotels and restaurants.
  • Serving as a communication conduit for all marketing programs with internal stakeholders and external vendors/agencies.
  • Developing promotional opportunities to increase sales.
  • Managing budgets and analyzing overall effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Working with a design team and ecommerce team to improve internal processes.
  • Executing annual media plans and overseeing ad, website, and collateral production.
  • Communicating all marketing programs to field and corporate staff and assessing marketing opportunities.
  • Providing guidance and direction to the Marketing Department staff and developing infrastructure by improving processes and creating SOPs.
  • Assisting hotel property teams with developing annual media plans and providing marketing guidance.
  • Analyzing marketing plan effectiveness and researching new marketing opportunities.
  • Developing focus groups to analyze customer needs and travel trends.
  • Working with outside PR vendors to create press releases as needed.
  • Providing guidance on PR and promotional opportunities to increase sales.
  • Aligning campaigns and materials to overall marketing strategy and driving consistency and brand awareness across regions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience in the hospitality industry, both traditional media and ecommerce.
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative agency-like environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of advertising and print collateral production.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical with a good sense of design.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and handle stress associated with deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of website development, SEO, and SEM.
  • Ability to analyze marketing opportunities and ad effectiveness.
  • Prior experience in creating and maintaining brand identities.
  • Business Marketing or Communications degree preferred.
