About the position

The position at Argo Group involves engaging with insurance agents both virtually and in-person to educate them on products and build relationships that align with the company's business plan. The role requires acting as a liaison between agents and the company, managing agency contracts, and supporting the planning and achievement of production goals. The new hire will work primarily from the Rockwood, PA office and will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, as well as executing the company's marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Engage with agents virtually and in-person to educate them on products.
• Act as a liaison between agents and the company, following up on requests.
• Update company personnel on marketplace changes.
• Assist in developing and executing the company's marketing strategy.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and coach company staff.
• Decide on agency contract approvals or cancellations.
• Manage license requests from agents.
• Support planning and achievement of production goals.
• Develop and monitor individual agency goals in collaboration with management.
• Manage the department budget.
• Produce, promote, and coordinate electronic marketing efforts.
• Represent the company at industry and agency events.

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the independent agency distribution system within the company's operating territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and in groups.
