About the position

Supermicro® is a leading provider of advanced server, storage, and networking solutions for various sectors including Data Center, Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, and more. As a Marketing Manager for Sales Training and Enablement, you will play a crucial role in building, delivering, and scaling high-impact programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of our internal Sales team. This position is pivotal in accelerating new business and revenue growth across our key verticals. In this role, you will conduct thorough research to validate effective sales approaches and habits of top-performing sellers and sales managers. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive Sales Enablement training programs, resources, and tools designed to boost our sales team's knowledge, competence, and confidence in serving our clients. This includes developing assessment and testing mechanisms for participants to ensure the effectiveness of the training. You will also create and maintain a variety of enablement content, such as interactive workshops, on-demand courses, playbooks, and simulations, all aimed at driving real behavior change and establishing effective sales habits. Tracking the success of these programs will be essential, as you will define and monitor metrics that align with our broader sales organization's key performance indicators. Additionally, you will develop a sales training strategy that aligns with Supermicro's business objectives, design training courses, and train trainers to effectively deliver these programs. Your role will also involve managing the learning experience in accordance with the company's philosophy and strategy, ensuring that all training initiatives are impactful and relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and validate proven sales approaches and habits of top-performing sellers and sales managers.
  • Create Sales Enablement training programs, resources, and tools to increase sales team's knowledge, competence, and confidence.
  • Develop assessment and testing for training participants.
  • Create and maintain enablement content such as interactive workshops, on-demand courses, playbooks, and simulations.
  • Define and track Sales Enablement program success metrics aligned to sales organization's key performance indicators.
  • Develop sales training strategy aligned to Supermicro's business strategy and design training courses.
  • Train trainers to administer training for sales groups effectively.
  • Develop systems to assess the effectiveness of sales training programs.
  • Implement a variety of training methods including small group training.
  • Plan and implement Learning Management Platforms and/or Content Management Systems for training path management.
  • Provide sales training curriculum for new employees and evaluate for improvements.
  • Manage the learning experience consistent with company philosophy and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 years of experience in enablement, training development, and/or program management for sales teams, resellers, and/or partners.
  • Training and development certification preferred.
  • Experience planning and executing effective corporate sales training programs for large enterprise sales teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and familiarity with value-based sales methodologies.
  • Experience working in B2B and public sector environments.
  • Ability to build new and innovative programs from ground zero in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Skilled at translating sales strategies into program strategy and well-written learning content.
  • Experience in developing on-demand and in-person learning experiences utilizing user-centered design principles.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and act upon data effectively.
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
