As our Marketing Manager, you will be the creative force behind the growth and image of Sessions by the Bay. You'll develop marketing strategies, create compelling content, and lead the social media presence across multiple platforms. You'll also play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience across our dispensary and lounge operations. Join the Sessions by the Bay Family as Our First Marketing Manager & Social Media Strategist! You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention. This includes creating and managing a marketing calendar, coordinating campaigns across digital, social, email, and in-store promotions. You will collaborate with the creative team to produce engaging content, including graphics, photos, and videos that reflect our unique brand voice. Additionally, you will plan and execute events and promotions to increase community engagement and visibility. In your role, you will lead our social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter, creating fresh and engaging content. You will develop social media strategies that align with broader marketing goals and drive engagement, while also identifying trends and capitalizing on relevant opportunities to keep social media content exciting and on-brand. Monitoring social media analytics will be crucial, as you will adjust strategies based on data to maximize engagement and ROI. You will also lead customer experience initiatives across both the dispensary and lounge, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued. This includes training staff on best practices to deliver an unforgettable experience, gathering and analyzing customer feedback to improve the overall experience, and collaborating with floor managers and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency in customer interactions. Cultivating relationships with influencers, brands, vendors, and community organizations will be key to elevating our brand and planning engaging events that build loyalty within the local community.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a focus on social media strategy and content creation, ideally within the cannabis, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proven marketing experience, ideally within the cannabis or lifestyle industries, with a deep understanding of cannabis culture and products.
  • Strong social media experience, including content creation and campaign management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in crafting brand stories.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
