About the position

The Marketing Manager for US Events plays a crucial role in developing and executing event strategies that align with the company's commercial objectives. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event delivery, enhancing attendee experiences, and maximizing return on investment. The ideal candidate will possess strong tactical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and implement ESW's events strategy in the US in collaboration with the Director of Field Marketing and key customers in Sales & Marketing.
  • Lead all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, vendor management, venue selection, and on-site execution.
  • Ensure each event adheres to the allocated budget and manage all related expenses.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns that drive event attendance and engagement, including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Oversee the creation of event-related content, such as promotional materials, presentations, and post-event reports.
  • Support contract negotiation and manage all event logistics with external parties and internal partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, partners, and sponsors for successful event execution.
  • Analyze event performance, gather attendee feedback, and report on event metrics to measure business impact, providing insights for future improvements.
  • Manage the planning and execution of ESW-hosted commercial events, such as Partner Summits and Client Advisory Board events.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience managing events in the tech, e-commerce, or retail sectors with a proven track record of successful event planning and execution.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools like Monday or Asana, and familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Hubspot), CRM systems, and event management tools (Cvent).
  • Proven experience managing annual budgets exceeding $1 million.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communication, or a related field.
  • Extreme attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
