About the position
At Saildrone, we sustainably explore, map, and monitor the oceans to understand, protect, and preserve our world. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Dir. of Marketing, Product, and Business Development teams to craft and maintain Saildrone's unique value proposition
- Translate technical product documentation into compelling sales collateral
- Logistics and planning for industry tradeshows and bespoke events: Identify and gather information on future shows to attend; track deadlines; communicate all necessary show information; track actual spending
- Coordinate speaking opportunities at industry events & support speakers in preparation and branding of content for presentations
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner
- Provide administrative support as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or a business discipline
- 5+ years of B2B/B2G experience in product and/or field marketing
- Experience with defense, bathy, and/or metoc products (software or hardware)
- Detail-oriented and HIGHLY organized
- Demonstrated writing skills across a range of content (brochures, presentations, websites, ads, email, etc.)
- Experience with executing large projects
- Comfortable working with and giving direction to business leaders
- Professional and polished work output
- Comfortable with new technology and tools
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with defense, bathy, and/or metoc products (software or hardware)
- Navy, Coast Guard, or other defense background
- Experience in global growth marketing across a variety of markets, including North America, EMEA, IndoPac, and beyond
- Experience with market research and competitive analysis
- Comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
