About the position

ZGF Architects is seeking a Marketing Manager for their Washington, DC office. This role involves collaborating with leadership to develop strategic proposals and presentations, crafting compelling narratives, and implementing innovative marketing strategies to position ZGF as a leader in the architecture industry. The Marketing Manager will also coordinate various marketing materials, conduct research on clients and competitors, and support business development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership to determine strategies on proposals and presentations.
  • Plan and develop strategic customized responses to RFPs and interview preparation.
  • Gather complex information to craft cohesive narratives.
  • Coordinate preparation of proposals, statements of interest, and marketing materials.
  • Participate in pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsals.
  • Develop innovative marketing strategies to differentiate the firm.
  • Identify growth opportunities by staying current with industry trends.
  • Make work assignments and ensure project completion to high standards.
  • Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts.
  • Support marketing assignments for meetings and interviews.
  • Centralize information about business development activities.
  • Explore ways to streamline workflow and technology use.
  • Attend community and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or design-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant marketing/communications, preferably in the A/E/C industry.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
  • Experience managing teams and providing constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with database programs such as Deltek Vision and Axomic OpenAsset.
