About the position

The Marketing Manager at Ohio City Incorporated (OCI) plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's values are effectively communicated through various channels. This position is responsible for managing the brand identity, digital and print marketing efforts, public relations, and fundraising narratives. The Marketing Manager collaborates with staff across different areas to align messaging with the organization's goals and is involved in community engagement and event management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for marketing and event strategy for Ohio City Incorporated.
  • Provide graphic design and content for all marketing materials ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Manage and execute the organization's marketing/fundraising event schedule and strategy.
  • Maintain and manage the organization's website and oversee the release of the new website.
  • Manage digital communications and content for social media and email newsletters, including analytics tracking.
  • Manage the organization's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Design and implement communications strategies for various programs and events.
  • Develop and manage a public relations plan, including media relations and press releases.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with vendors related to communications.
  • Organize photographs that highlight the organization's work and service area.
  • Support marketing needs for corporate sponsorship programs.
  • Cultivate relationships with community members and organizational partners.
  • Serve as staff liaison for Board of Trustees committee meetings related to marketing and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of marketing management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and MailChimp.
  • Strong communication skills and proficient computer skills.
  • Experience in media relations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in nonprofit or community development organizations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Project and people management experience.
