About the position

The Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, creating, and managing advertising strategies that uphold the corporate image and property identity. This role involves overseeing local and national advertising campaigns, managing the budget process, and planning casino promotions. The Marketing Manager also directs public relations efforts and social media strategies to enhance the property's visibility and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend advertising opportunities and schedules for the overall property and various departments.
  • Liaise with Brand and Advertising Agency on the creation of new artwork.
  • Manage on-property advertising schedules, locations, and postings.
  • Manage use of intellectual property by vendors and approved media outlets.
  • Act as the brand ambassador to ensure compliance with Hard Rock International brand standards.
  • Coordinate and execute photo shoots and film shoots on property.
  • Handle media inquiries, interview appointments, and photography/video queries.
  • Conceptualize and distribute press materials in proper AP format including press releases and media alerts.
  • Coordinate media, property-wide, and red-carpet opportunities including staffing events and escorting photographers.
  • Maintain and produce a media library including photos and digital content for marketing use.
  • Manage internal communications to promote Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City's image.
  • Direct social media strategy with contract social media agency for all platforms.
  • Respond to customer reviews on social platforms and route feedback for follow-up.
  • Supervise the updating of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City website.
  • Develop the monthly marketing calendar while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Review Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission submissions for promotional rules approval.
  • Provide direction on direct mail and email strategies in conjunction with the Director of Marketing.
  • Manage the direct mail schedule, overseeing postage statements and art proofing.
  • Engage in meetings with internal teams and contracted agencies.
  • Communicate entertainment announcements to internal and external audiences.
  • Configure shows and events within the ticketing software.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with external vendors.
  • Update and manage the disassociated patron database weekly.
  • Oversee mobile app messaging, SMS communications, and email distribution to the player database.
  • Address customer complaints and comments promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and national print media.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong managerial skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
