About the position
The Journal Marketing Manager will develop and implement marketing strategies for a portfolio of journals in Physical Sciences, focusing on customer engagement and relationship management. This role requires collaboration with product teams and external partners to drive key performance indicators such as article submissions and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background and experience in managing complex workflows and relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement brand awareness and lead generation strategies for the journal portfolio.
- Create effective product positioning, messaging, and market entry strategies.
- Deliver effective campaign and program briefings to stakeholders.
- Communicate marketing results and best practices to editorial product teams.
- Maintain and improve relationships with internal and external customers.
- Analyze market intelligence and competitor behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to deliver programs that meet journal and society goals.
Requirements
- Experience managing relationships and understanding complex workflows.
- Previous marketing experience is required.
- Experience with data analytics and insight interpretation.
- Knowledge of content marketing principles.
- Understanding of systems and processes supporting marketing and sales functions.
- Experience working within large organizations.
