About the position

The Marketing Manager at Performance Foodservice is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Marketing/Brands department, including staff management, strategic planning, and execution of marketing initiatives. This role involves collaborating closely with sales teams to enhance brand growth and support local market share through effective marketing strategies and programs. The position requires problem-solving skills to address complex marketing challenges and the ability to analyze data to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Marketing/Brands department, including hiring, training, coaching, and counseling staff members.
  • Develop, plan, direct, communicate, and coordinate assigned marketing projects aligned with the company's strategic business plan.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the company's marketing strategies and programs.
  • Participate in developing and executing short- and long-range marketing plans for profitable sales and brand growth.
  • Set marketing goals to support organizational strategic plans and visions, including vendor communication for event planning.
  • Strategically allocate resources to align marketing efforts with sales leadership to grow local market share.
  • Implement local marketing activities for promotions, events, and marketing materials, utilizing graphic design skills and technology.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing programs and events, providing suggestions for improvements based on results.
  • Plan and execute local sales meetings, coordinating with suppliers and managing logistics.
  • Develop communication for employee events and serve as a liaison between corporate and local teams.
  • Communicate corporate marketing activities to the sales team and promote these activities internally and externally.
  • Run sales-related reports, analyze data, and report on market analyses to identify business opportunities.
  • Supervise the Marketing/Brands team, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 4 - 6 Years of Marketing experience with team lead or supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related area
  • 6 - 10 Years of Marketing experience in the foodservice industry with supervisory experience.
