About the position

The Marketing Manager at Colossal is responsible for leading marketing initiatives and managing the overall brand. This role involves developing marketing strategies, conducting market research, and creating content across various channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media management, video production, graphic design, and event planning, preferably within IT or government contracting sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the industry.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and engineering to develop marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage the company's website and ensure that it is up-to-date and optimized for search engines.
  • Create and manage content for the company's blog, social media channels, and other marketing materials.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure that all campaigns are within budget.
  • Film video content and direct subject matter experts from behind the camera.
  • Interview IT professionals and business unit leaders to develop sales slicks and marketing materials.
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences.
  • Assist with event planning.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of marketing experience preferably with similar IT companies or government contractors.
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Marketing, EMF, Graphic Design etc. is desired but not required.
  • A general technical aptitude and willingness to learn the fundamentals of information technology.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting goals, building relationships, people skills, customer focus and motivation for success.
  • Experience with the Adobe Create Suite including Photoshop, Editor, Publisher etc. as well as Canva and video editing tools.
