About the position

The Marketing Manager at Performance Food Group is responsible for overseeing the Marketing/Brands department, focusing on hiring, training, and managing staff to achieve corporate sales goals. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies aligned with the company's business plan, solving complex marketing challenges, and collaborating closely with the Sales team to enhance local market share and brand growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Marketing/Brands department, including hiring, training, and coaching staff.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-range marketing plans to ensure profitable sales and brand growth.
  • Set marketing goals that support organizational strategic plans and communicate with outside vendors for event planning.
  • Strategically allocate resources to align marketing efforts with sales leadership.
  • Implement local marketing activities, including promotions, events, and graphic design initiatives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing programs and suggest improvements based on results.
  • Plan and execute local sales meetings, coordinating with suppliers and managing logistics.
  • Develop communication for employee events and serve as a liaison between corporate and local teams.
  • Communicate corporate marketing activities to the sales team and promote these initiatives internally and externally.
  • Analyze market data to identify business and marketing opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 4 - 6 years of marketing experience with team lead or supervisory experience.
