About the position

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the Big South Marketing Event Team, focusing on creating engaging experiences that drive customer engagement and subscriber growth in competitive communities. This role involves leading the strategy for sales events, collaborating with various departments, and analyzing event effectiveness to recommend improvements. The Marketing Manager will also manage a team and develop processes to enhance departmental efficiency while ensuring alignment with the company's marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales events that support network expansion and target community demographics, ensuring a strong return on investment.
  • Create and implement processes for the Event Sales Team, including uniforms, marketing collateral, and event assets.
  • Identify new opportunities to support the Event Sales Team, such as online booking pages and growth strategies.
  • Coordinate marketing materials across departments to drive event traffic, including postcards, press releases, and social media.
  • Establish processes for managing event assets and coordinate with technical staff for maintenance and sales effectiveness analysis.
  • Track and manage event marketing expenses to stay within budget.
  • Collaborate with counterparts to share best practices and leverage HQ-funded event opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a sales events strategy focused on university and back-to-school initiatives.
  • Gather and communicate marketing campaign information and subscriber feedback to enhance event marketing understanding.
  • Create reports to measure the success of marketing programs and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving ongoing marketing programs, analyses, and reports.
  • Develop new ideas for event performance across the business.
  • Manage a team that may include exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available for nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in marketing or event management.
  • Strong understanding of brand marketing and event marketing strategies.
