About the position

The Marketing Manager at Carmel Symphony Orchestra is a pivotal role focused on enhancing audience engagement and promoting the orchestra's concerts and events. This position requires a dynamic and creative marketer who will lead marketing initiatives aimed at driving patron retention and ticket sales, ensuring the growth and sustainability of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee comprehensive marketing plans with a strong emphasis on email campaigns, video content, and digital outreach.
  • Design and execute targeted campaigns that support patron loyalty, retention, and growth through storytelling and personalized communication.
  • Produce compelling marketing materials, ensuring consistency in brand messaging across all platforms.
  • Identify, hire, and manage freelance talent or external partners to meet project goals efficiently.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and promoting events, ensuring successful execution and audience satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through KPIs and performance data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably within the arts or non-profit sector.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, with demonstrated success in email marketing and video strategy.
  • Excellent project management and event coordination skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of classical music or experience in performing arts organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM and patron management systems.
