About the position

The Marketing Manager at Owen Ames Kimball (O-A-K) is responsible for leading the marketing department, managing daily activities, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing marketing projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and developing a strong brand image while fostering a positive team culture. The position is based in Grand Rapids, MI, and is integral to the company's mission of providing exceptional service to community-centered organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide team leadership and guidance for the marketing department.
  • Manage daily activities including proposal and sales presentations, digital media, public relations, event management, and brand positioning.
  • Lead marketing projects, planning, and messaging.
  • Identify and implement the annual marketing plan to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team, Department Heads, Project Management, and Field Leadership.
  • Exhibit in-depth service expertise and develop comprehensive positioning and strong brand image.
  • Provide strategic consulting and management support to marketing and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, English, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the construction management industry.
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, website platforms, social media, and digital systems management.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
