About the position

Think Tank Photo is a group of designers and innovators in the photo industry, dedicated to creating premium camera equipment carry solutions for working photographers and passionate creatives for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. This full-time, benefitted, non-exempt position is based in Santa Rosa, CA, and reports directly to the Marketing Director. The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating marketing efforts with the design team, managing schedules, and collaborating with key team members to bring new products to market. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of our company while advancing their career and learning new skills. In this role, the Operations Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between the marketing and design teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The individual will be responsible for fulfilling key marketing strategies aimed at engaging our customers across various sales channels. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in photography, familiarity with current camera products, and a solid understanding of industry trends. This is not a remote position, and no travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage scheduling for product design & marketing development
  • Review timelines with team leads to maintain key development goals
  • Schedule and write agenda for merchandising meetings
  • Distill the design product brief into the first draft of a Sales Sheet
  • Draft hang tag, packaging, and product instructions
  • Lead process of product naming and key feature callouts
  • Produce packaging instructions and deliver them to factories
  • Create and manage product ASINs for Amazon
  • Coordinate with factories for merchandising assets, OEM design requirements, and marketing samples
  • Centralize communications between design, marketing, and sales
  • Review media proposals and collaborations
  • Vet collaboration requests from content creators
  • Organize and track BOM changes
  • Support design materials research efforts
  • Review design samples against product brief and design detail outline
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of product development experience
  • Familiarity with current camera products from professional to entry level
  • Interest in photography and knowledge of key brands and industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Solid computer and business software skills
  • Adept at MS Office Suite & e-mail programs
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm
  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully with overseas vendors
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Resourceful self-starter with a proactive approach
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
