About the position

The Marketing Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Performance Marketing team at TEKsystems, a part of Allegis Group. This position is responsible for bringing marketing strategies and plans to life by effectively executing outbound marketing content and messaging. The coordinator will manage the creation, development, and implementation of various marketing activities, including event collateral, social media, digital, and email marketing, ensuring that all activities align with the client's strategic marketing plans. The role requires a strong understanding of the marketing strategy and individual campaigns, as well as the ability to manage project milestones from strategic development to execution. In this role, the Marketing Operations Coordinator will communicate the client's overall mission, incorporating corporate and campaign goals into every project. They will maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners, troubleshoot difficult situations within projects, and ensure timely and accurate completion of delegated tasks. The coordinator will also manage the creative project workflow system, leveraging existing project management tools, and facilitate brainstorming meetings and status calls with internal design teams and Execution Business Owners (EBOs). The Marketing Operations Coordinator will stay updated on industry best practices around project management through research and participation in professional associations. This position is essential for supporting the technology requirements of the marketing organization, managing rollouts and upgrades, and enforcing governance to ensure adherence to agreed-upon principles and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate the client's overall mission, incorporating corporate and campaign goals into every project.
  • Maintain an understanding of the strategy of various marketing campaigns and their focuses.
  • Manage project milestones from strategic development to execution, ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners at all levels.
  • Troubleshoot and review difficult situations within projects, escalating to management and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Review delegated tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Build consensus with project teams and stakeholders to move projects forward.
  • Propose options for resolving project challenges.
  • Manage the creative project workflow system using project management tools like EMM and Microsoft Project.
  • Schedule and facilitate brainstorming meetings and status calls with agency/internal design teams and EBOs.
  • Coordinate all stakeholder communications, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Handle the coordination of projects and ensure completion of marketing activities and the creative approval process.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices around project management through research and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a similar field.
  • 2-3 years of experience coordinating Marketing, Sales, or related activities.
  • 2-3 years of Project Management experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience using MS Office and Adobe software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding and proficiency in using project management tools including workflow systems like IBM Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
