About the position

The Marketing Operations Manager for AWS Global Customer, Industry, and Partner Marketing (GCIPM) is responsible for overseeing budget management and process development within the marketing strategy and operations team. This role focuses on enhancing efficiencies in communications and budget tracking, automating manual processes, and supporting ad-hoc reporting requests from marketing team members. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven decision-making and possess strong communication skills to navigate a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardize budget reporting and dashboards in our budget tool for team-wide use
  • Create strategies to improve and expand processes aimed at increasing process efficiencies
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams to ensure data accuracy within budget management systems
  • Automate and reconcile monthly spend compared to financial targets
  • Automate data pulling for users and budgets with funds that meet specific criteria
  • Maintain and automate internal budget records for regular reconciliation
  • Assist team with ad-hoc requests for reporting, functionality, and process questions
  • Document and streamline budget related information for the organization

Requirements

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing analytics or operations analyst role

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
