About the position

As the Marketing Operations Manager at GlossGenius, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the marketing technology tools and processes that enable effective campaign execution. This role is crucial for shaping the future of marketing efforts by leveraging existing technologies and selecting new ones to support various teams in achieving growth targets. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and the Senior Director of Performance and Lifecycle Marketing, and can work remotely or in a hybrid model from the NYC headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of all marketing technology platforms, including marketing automation and CRO.
  • Work with operations partners and data team to ensure seamless integration of marketing technology with other business systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of the marketing tech stack, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on all projects, processes, and tooling.
  • Quickly diagnose and triage martech outages or data inaccuracies and manage recovery projects.
  • Manage relationships with MarTech vendors, ensuring effective utilization of tools and management of contracts.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to develop a robust data strategy for personalized marketing efforts.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend new tools and approaches to enhance marketing capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to the marketing and data engineering teams on technology platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing technology or a related role.
  • Deep expertise in marketing platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Google Ads, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with Iterable, Branch, Eppo, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Looker, Snowflake, and Google Firebase preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing a marketing tech stack with measurable performance improvements.
  • SQL proficiency or willingness to learn within the first three months.
  • Strong project spec writing and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking about technology's role in marketing.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance best practices.
